Jubilee Plaza

Indian Society,SUSU

Mark your calendars—Holi is back on campus, bigger and brighter than ever!

Join Indian Society on March 4th outside Building 40 for an unforgettable celebration of Holi—the festival of colours, joy, and togetherness. Get ready to throw vibrant gulal (coloured powder), dance to energetic Bollywood beats, and soak in the festive atmosphere with friends old and new.

Whether you’re celebrating Holi for the first time or it’s a tradition you cherish, this is your chance to experience the magic of colour, music, and community spirit right here on campus.

Everyone is welcome—so bring your energy, wear something you don’t mind getting messy, and get ready for a day filled with laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories!

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

The colour powder is machine washable; however, we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

We recommend wearing (sun)glasses to avoid eye irritation from the paint.

There will not be any on-site changing or showering facilities. Once the event has finished, please ensure that you head home and don't enter any university buildings.

Weather is unpredictable. We may change the date or the venue nearer to the time so please check this event page and/or Indian Society's social media for updates.

We look forward to seeing you!

The Organisers

Indian Society

We are a growing society here in Southampton that caters for students of Indian background and we also welcome students of non-Indian background to our family as we look to grow larger each year. We run our society for several reasons, one of the main reasons is to cater for our students who grew up here in the UK, or elsewhere, and showcase our rich tradition and culture through our annual events that they have never experienced before. We look to provide them with a platform to make friends and life-long memories whilst integrating into the Southampton student life and incorporating them into our Indian Society Family. We plan and organise events throughout the year ranging from club nights, chill nights, movie and games nights, charity events and flagship events like our well-known APNA Awards night, collaborating with many of the other university's societies. We look forward to having you join our Indian Society Family and hope you have a memorable academic year with us.

SUSU

We are the University of Southampton Students’ Union (also called "SUSU"). We are here to represent the voice of students at every level and ultimately make their university experience unforgettable. Independent from the University, we're run by students, for students!
