Sri Lanka Society

Founded in 2003, The Sri Lankan Society was formed to act as a platform for Sri Lankan students to socialize and help one another in their University life away from home. The Society is focused on organizing events to educate and help the foreign community learn about the rich, vibrant and diverse culture that Sri Lanka has to offer

Welcome to the Sri Lankan Society!

Looking to meet new people? Eager to explore Sri Lankan culture? Want to connect with a vibrant community?

You're in the right place! The Sri Lankan Society is here to offer you all this and so much more!

What We're All About

We're a community!

At SLSOC, we believe in celebrating culture, fostering connections, and creating lasting memories. Whether you're from Sri Lanka or simply curious about its rich traditions, we welcome everyone, regardless of background, to be part of our family. Our goal is to build a diverse and inclusive community where everyone can learn, share, and enjoy together.

Our Highlights:

Sinhala and Tamil New Year

Our flagship event is a cultural festival celebrating the Sinhala and Tamil New Year!

Experience traditional Sri Lankan games, sports, and, of course, an array of mouthwatering Sri Lankan food and sweet treats.

Come join us and be part of our community to explore and celebrate the warmth and vibrancy of Sri Lankan culture—open to all!
